Star Wars Land is Coming to Disney World and Disneyland
Disney has announced that new Star Wars themed lands will be coming to Disneyland Resort and Disney World.
The vision of Star Wars lands are grand as they plan to have 14 acres in Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando and at Disneyland Park in Anaheim dedicated to Star Wars. It is set to be the largest sole themed land expansions that Disney has undertaken.
So what can you expect from the Star Wars land?
Bob Iger, Disney CEO announced at the D23 Disney Fan Expo in 2015 that Star Wars land will just be as epic as the films.
There will be two signature attractions at each of the Star Wars lands. You can become the captain of the Millennium Falcon and you will be able to go on a Star Wars adventure that places you in the middle of an epic battle.
Not only will there be entertainment and attractions, the area will also be covered in droids and aliens. You will also get to go to a never before seen planet, you can explore a remote trading port, have a great meal at Cantina and see one of the last stops before wild space.
It is expected that Star Wars land will go under construction in 2017 and they should be open by 2019.
At the end of 2015, Disney will debut the Star Wars Launch Bay, which is an interactive experience that will take you inside Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie.
In 2016 a seasonal event called Season of the Force will begin.
