Living here in the US really gives me cravings of Filipino dishes or delicacies. I got so ecstatic when I first learned that Seafood City will soon open a branch here in the northwest. This specialty store have more stores in California area. Their expansion here in the northwest not only caters to Filipinos that lives here in Washington but also those that are living in Oregon and British Columbia, Canada. Having this store now enables us to make a short trips to the Southcenter mall in Tukwila, where this store is located. My husband always teased me that I am heaven when I am in that store. Although I can find some of Filipino products at Walmart now here in our area, but I am still missing some of the stuff that I can only get there at Seafood City.
On Friday, hubby was off from work. He drove us there late in the afternoon, just in time to have our early dinner at Jolibee. After we dined, I went inside the store and bought some food and groceries. Their prices are comparable to supermarkets here, but the products imported from Philippines are a little bit pricey. I love that they have more fresh seafood selections there and also vegetables and fruits that I like. I may have to ask my husband to drive there again next week to get something that I forgot when we were there this past weekend.
